"Tapasya, or suffering, seems an essential part of
traditional Hindu pilgrimage—miles on open buses and
sleeping in primitive dharamsala dormitories. Even when I was
young these yatras never appealed to me. My trip with Ananda
was a spiritual vacation. We travelled comfortably and stayed
in nice hotels, some with spectacular views." —R.
